“Today we are all Gypsies!”

Today, 150 years ago, a democratic Prime-Minister decided to abolish the slavery for the gypsies in some of the territories that later on formed Mazemania. Very few locals know this or care about it.

What is the social status of the gypsies in today Mazemania? A democratic country where finally in 1990 Gypsies were recognized as ethnic group, Mazemania is still a very racist place to be in if you are a Gypsy. Why Mazemanian majority hate Gypsy, as they truly hate them? Maybe because of getting use to see them as slaves, and in the last years as non-educated persons with a different life style. Also the media and the Police in the last 16 years contributed to the creation of a negative image of the Gypsy. How the Gypsy portrait would look like based on the media? Not very tall, dark face, involved in a scam or caught by the Police for stilling. This is the imagine that stays with the mind of the majority of the population. (mai mult…)

Beautiful Mazemania!

There is more to Mazemania then just corrupted people and spies. The country is blessed with a beautiful nature that includes mountains, plains and sea. There are forests, lakes and rivers.

The country has several protected areas some unique in Europe or in the world. The plants and the animals are stil diverse and can be seen in the wild in many regions.

The turism is not yet developed to much so the lack of infrastrucure has its benefits in exploring a wild nature. The caves hide extraordinary species. (mai mult…)

India and Rwanda – two lessons that nobody learned from

I spent pretty much of my free time reading and studying about other nations contemporary history. As the communist deprived us from having access to what was going on in the world I found very useful to read about what happened in this world in the last 50 years since the second world war. There were many events that deserve further public debates and understanding the impact on the human beings.

Especially two events that were similar in their proceedings in a certain point made me stop over them a little bit more. In early 80s when the prime minister of India was assassinated by one of its Sikh bodyguard the media emphasis the religion of the killer and without judging the facts and the possible impacts instigated to murder of the Sikhs in the region. Many Hindus gathered in the streets and killed all male from most of the Sikhs families in the area. How many died nobody knows as the media was immediately removed from the area. The survivors are just describing the horror scenes that took place for some days. (mai mult…)

Mohamed vs Holocaust

The recent world tensions around the Mohamed drawings made me write about this issue as it tends to transform itself from an insignificant act in a world wide proportions one. A Danish newspaper copied later on Western world wide, published a funny drawing of the Muslim prophet Mohamed in September last year.
The incident of the funny drawing of Mohamed is interesting. I was wondering why all of a sudden this drawing became a scandal in January when it was published somewhere in September and later on spread in Europe. of course after it became an international debate between nations it got even more publicity on the world wide press and TV stations. Portrating the Muslim prophet by the muslim religion is not allowed. Why a democratic nation as Denmark would generate such world tensions in a period of cotroversy between West and Middle East? The facts show that is a complex situation.
The Danish newspaper that published the drawing did it on purpose as the recent data shows it. The editor actually run a contest for the drawing of a funny picture of Mohamed. So there is the intention. Why a newspaper editor would muck on another religion? Maybe because the people that travel through Denmark are saying that under the cover of a democratic nation it hides a very discriminatory nation esspecially towrds foreigners. And there are lots of foreigners imigrated in Denmark! Maybe the editor or the newspaper owner was just a racist person that expressed its views. Ina democracy there is a thin line between your freedom and others freedom. Every persons it is said in the democratic constitutions it is allowed to have the right to think and express freely. But most of the same nations condamn any racist or discriminatory act as a break of others freedom. So did the editor of the newspaper broke this rule? It seems that he did but the Government refused to punish him as they declared that the press is free. Hmmmm…
Very interesting how this small drawing that wouldn’t have any history in a normal circumstances was later on transformed in a topic for world wide debate. When the Muslim nations started to protest nobody cared so much. When several Arab leaders asked that the editor and the newspaper to be punished, the answer of the Danish Government came that they can’t do anything about this. Ok with that but when embassyes of Denmark and another foreign nations were attacked in Iran by the people the Iranian Government was immediatelly accused by the Western Governments of not acting properly to defend those embassies. And of course the Iranian Government took a bad choice when didn’t defend the embassies but so did the Government of Denmark when did not act against the discrimination of Muslims in a Denmark paper. Both Governments took the wrong choice and spinned the cycle of violence.
The next stage of this issue started when an Iranian editor announced a contest for a drawing that will portrate funny the impact of Holocaust in creation of the Jewish state. This rasied even more anger from the Western Governments along with the Israel state. Everybody condamned the decison of the journalist and ask the Iranian Government to intervine. But the Iranian Government – which recently is in an open verbal conflict with US and the super-powers related to its nuclear facilities – responded very candid that they will do the same as the Danish Government: they won’t intervine in the freedom of press. Of course both sides may bring thousands of arguments. The facts are these. More in Iraq, the local council of Basra decided the other day to announce the Denmark troups in the area that they doin’t need their presents in the are anymore. And we know that the US Government is always claiming that they lead a coalition in Iraq that maintains peace and it is required by the democratic elected Iraq Government. So this drawing affects US and Western interests in Iraq too.
Why all of this is happening? It might be just a simple accident tranformed in a major incident. Or maybe it was somehow a small discriminatory behavour that was later used by the Western Governments in their conflict with the Middle East. It is called provoking. Maybe some leaders have an interest in stiring the Iranians to attack or break the rules somehow in order for a reason to invade them. The same was done in Iraq or in Vietnam or in.. This reminds me of the Nazis which in 1939 invaded Poland because they said the Polish border troups attacked a German border post and the soldiers there were killed. Similiar somehow isn’t it?!? And of course some may argue that the Nazi invented an excuse and it is not this case here. But who says that the Denmark Government, a strong friend of US Government in the war on terror, is not aware of this facts and maybe involved somehow. It is the technique used by many bog powers when they want something and they don’t have the legal international arguments they invent some. By the way did the US found any mass distruction weapons in Iraq?? If they didn’t and they didn’t it means that they lied an entire world…
The conslusion is obvious: a new trend in the world conflict escalation is getting on the way. Where is will lead? Probably towards a new conflict in the Middle East that for sure will extend. How long can the people from the West take the crap of some leaders that pretend to act in their name but actually act on their people lives? Mohamed will stil remain the prophet for the Muslims with or without the funny drawing. What that drawing did was only to instigate to hate. And who benefits from that?…

Lots of Love

After watching spies on TV and political debates without any conclusion I
decided to turn off the TV and listen to some music. Actually I missed doing
that for a while. I got caught in the news and LIVE madness of the TV and I
forgot about myself as a person.
I was talking to a friend the other day about how less time we have for
ourselves. We got plugged to the virus called work and we forgot the essence
of life: enjoying it! I was looking back to my childhood and my youth and it
is gone. How many of you felt the same in a certain point in life? Yes, I got
a job, I have a career, some money – but still it seems that none of this are
belonging to me. They are more influences or maybe requirements of the
society in which we live. I asked my friend if she took time for herself to
go to a SPA or at least to get a massage after several days of hard workig
from morning until evening. She said that she would wish to do so but she
doesn’t have the time. Why we don’t have time for ourselves anymore? Why the
work, family and society in general wit its rules takes everything for us?
Some months ago I reached the bottom of my energy and I decided to take a
Sunday off and just sit down and relax. Do you thing that I could do that? No
way! After one hour of sitting around I opened my laptop and I started
working. Another Sunday when no electricity was available I was running
around the house like a madman as I didn’t know what to do.
This is the crazyness of our lives. This is were the whole system is pushing
us. Heart diseases or strokes at 32 years old are a common thing these days.
The old people are always amazed why people die so young but the society and
the system in which we live nowadays is made like a giant spin. Where it
goes? Nowhere. It is just spinning with all of us. No reason. And we are
playing along. We like the spin innitially, then we love it and then we hate
it but we can’t get out of it anymore. So let’s take the time as soon as
possible to get out of this spin. Let’s look inside us first to see where we
are as a human being. Forget about professional achievements. They are for
the rest and so much for us. Are we a better person? That is important. And
please don’t judge better with quantificable arguments as I haave two
children or I am a director. That is ok for the society but for yourself what
makes you a better person. I proposed to myself a game that you can try too.
take a day from your life and go away from all your daily problems at work or
at house. Just take a day when it’s only you with yourself. And after
relaxing as you wish strip yourself from all your professional achievemets.
Then strip yourself from your family. Strip yourself from any other
activities you might do. And see if it is something left. If there is
something left – maybe just a feeling, then you are still alive it means. Otherwise probably you could not even complete the exercise!
What I found deep in there? I found love. And not the physical love – just love, the altruistic love. And nowadays when I feel down because of the spin that the society gets me into or when I need a base point I just remember that feeling that I found deep inside me: love. And I’m thinking if more people will find deep inside them love and they won’t try to cathegorize it as religion, sex, or something else maybe we will live in a better world. And then the spin of the system will stop and everyone will look around and then they will look inside them and it will find the life beautiful. That we can say as a specie that we achieved our destiny – by then we are simply mortals.

Are We Turning In A Police-Run Country?

This is the question of day in the mind of some Mazemanians. The recent news tend to indicate towards a sad reality. The president of the country wants to take full control over the secret services and to allow them more power. So, normally, some citizens get nervous hearing this news. I believe that some of us don’t want to turn back to communism.
Let’s annalyze the news and the events that are taking place. I wrote here before about the problem of secret services involvement in the political life of the country. It is interesting that recently the president of the country made a personal fight to bring all the national secret services under its supervision. This actually seems a good idea considering that before nobody was checking what the employees of these services were doing. But one man can hold a bunch of spies? Or the situation will be reverse? They will hold him…
The presidents ambitions to clear the waters around the secret services was seen some months ago when started as a good sign by many. I also believed that was about time something to be done in this case. But recent developments start to worry me. It is clearly a fight between the president staff and the former leaders of the country now in oposition. It is good I think that finally someone starts poiting and actually investigationg the majot corrupted people of the country. The use of secret services in this investigation is considered legal everywhere in the world up to a certain point.
Recently I heard that the secret services will have more power/authority in their investigation. That is a piece of news that tends to worry me. It is even more sad that the general public don’t have anything against this increased power of secret services. They are either careless about this issue or are agreeing with the president’s decison without questioning the meaning of it.
It is even more surprising that one party leader – known for his important position close to the former communist secret service – is starting now to openly attack the latest decisions of the president. It becames clear that the fight between several sections of the secret services never stopped in this country. And these days we are wittnessing another episode in this fight. Who will won the fight? Who will be the casualties? About the casualties probably some top politicians and some top corrupted bussinessmen in the best scenario. In the worst scenario the secret services will listen my phone and aarest me and no charges will be made but still I will be kept in prison (maybe a secret one!)…Sounds familiar?! Yes, The US Goverment pased some years ago a similar law that allows CIA and other secret services in US the same thing… Freedom? A Mazemanian saying would say “it is for the big dogs not for the puppies.”
What will happend with us in the near future? The secret services will listen to our phones legally (they did it until now also avoiding the law – as recent news are showing it), they will be able to hold people in custody without arresting them legally and so on. Or maybe the civil society will move towards a common action against the transformation of Mazemania in an US type country. Sorry my dear Americans!…

One Europe – More Interests

The EU is trying hard to grow old as an entity but is still divided in many small nations. Reminds me of the Bible description of the Apocalipse where an Empire was compared to a statue made out of several materials and with feet of clay. Like this is EU now. The leaders are trying to extended as size and as power in the world but in the same time the people living in it are not happy with its existance as they are expressing in polls and surveys.
Who wants and why one Europe? Some leaders in early 50s thought that with one Europe they can be stronger and can make a difference in the struggle for world power that was taking place at that time between USSR and USA. Now the geo-political world system is different. There is no more such a distinct separation between good and bad as it seemed to be in the Cold War Era. It is more a fight between the wish of the leaders of the world and the individual of the world. The leaders want an united world, stronger economical and easier to be controlled. The individuals want their freedom of choice. Basically it’s only this – of cours eextended in all sectors. EU leaders want to be powerful enough not to be overwelmed by other strong leaders. Are they really interested in the benefit of all their country’s citizens. Maybe, even though I doubt that… They are more interested in gaining as much power as possible.
But what about the rest of the world? Where the rest of the individuals fit into this world scheme? No world leaders care about them, as they don’t care of the individuals from their own countries. Tehy care about masses. Listen carefully to their speaches! They speak about nations, people and when it is the faith of an individual at stake – if that individual is not a world leader – they don’t really care about him/her. They pretend to care about but…
The individuals are affraid to lose their freedom of choice and of thinking. But only some individuals that think to themselves as individuals. The rest became the amorf part of the MASS. Easy to control by the world leaders. Like in “1984″ novel we tend to become machines seen as a MASS and loose our own individuality. If you criticize to much not the leaders will punish you but the MASS. The MASS is already formed, trained and mainly brainwashed to think as the world leaders want to. And if something happends to the MASS attitude (as nothing is perfect!), if the individuals somehow succeed to influence the MASS and help decomposing it in thousands of individuals, then world leaders intervine in force by manipulation as they own the resources to do it.
Some of you want examples? Think only when the EU states members had their people vote for the EU Constitution and some nations voted against it. What a scandal! The EU leaders stopped the process and they will do it again and again after further intensive brainwashing of the MASS until the vote it will be yes. So it doesn’t really matter what the people want but what the leaders want. More examples are available if you watch the news with a critical eye and compare different newspapers and TV broadcasting.
What is to be done about? maybe the only solution for now it is to each of the individuals to continue their day-to-day struggle to change people’s mentality around them and to try to make them think as individuals and not as a MASS. Maybe we will generate a society with lots of debates but for sure much more free. And where is freedom it is also the chance for peace.

Mazemania is generating debates!

Dear readers, this article is dedicated to all of you Mazemanians that wrote me about the last article about the Nation and all of my articles on this list. And iy will be in Mazemanian sa the other international readers please escuse me for not understanding this! Also I wish to emphasys that my English is not quite good which I admit and it is not my intention to be perfect gramatically but to make my point understood. So thank you all for reading these posts and replying your comments. I will wirte more as I see ther are enough people interested!

Delete Nation

The nationalism raised again in Mazemania these days based on the debate if to remove or not the word “national” from the first article of the Constitution wher it says about the country that is a state “national, united” and so on. “Delete one word please” the representatives of the Hungarian minority are saying. Of course that the nationalist and extremist politicians are yelling and screaming as hard as they can that this is imposiblle that by removing that word the country will disapear. I knew that the words are very powerful but I never thought that the dissaperance of one word can delete an entire country.
So I started to think over the issue as long as the politicians are debating without thinking. Why we need the word nation associated with our state? It is truely necessary? Or it is just the expression of an old mentality of slaves that Mazemanians were many centuries. The people very difficult, some say, can forgive not necessary forget, the suffering of their ancestors. It is true wordlwide. It develops a mentality inside the people that it is very difficult to be removed. Let’s see the conquring nations where they are based on their former colonialism and the former colonies where they are now. The first have a tendency for democracy and liberalism, when the others are still in conflicts internal or external, or struggle in corrupted economies. The history leaves its mark over the century. But it is the choice of the people to change their mentaliuties. The Mazemanians, as a very young truely democracy (16 years old!!) are still fighting with the old mentalities deep rooted into their minds and common knowledge. Eventhough most of the politicians want the EU accesion, the surveys show less apetite for it from the general publci which mainly lives in poverty. While the politicians mostly corrupted as the media is presenting them are interested in their own objectives using the country idea of nationalism as a screen for covering their own ambitions of power, the people in the country is more busy finding money for their next day survival. While the high power bussiness class which represents less than 1% orders the most expensive cars from the West for the surprise of the Automobile Industry from there, the rest of the people are still walking or in carts and horses. The most beautiful image that this country might offer to a foreigner is a road with a latest model of a Mercedes and next to it a paysant with his horse and cart carrying hey plus some chickens in the middle of the road and a dog barking at the Mercedes wheel.
And the politicians are worried about removing the word nation from the Constitution when actually they never cared about the nation. But they know for sure one fact about the Mazemanians’ mentality: It doesn’t metter how poor they are, the nationalism will always sell to them. Same thing on another scale Hitler used when the German economy was in recesion in 20s and 30s. What better solution a leader with no principles has then to use the nationalism as a mass weapon for distrcting the attention of the people from the real economical problems. Of course not the corrupted politicans are to be blame for the disaster of the economy or for missusing the EU funding but only the Hungarians, or the Gipsy, as we are out of Jews!!
It seems like the history for this country is repeating over and over again and nobody is learning anything out of this history! Instead of appealing to reason, to dialogue, the leaders proclaim the worst case scenarios based on the traditional nationalism.
And what is a nation more than an old concept started during the French Revolution that suited a certain period of time but it becomes redundand as many are willing to unite their economical efforts for a better future for all beyond traditional borders. It is maybe unfair that some nations benefited longer from the concept of nation than others in the modern history but life must go on and people need to start thinking towards a new world where borders are not needed and states dissapear and nations too – as they come together as concepts. Let’s move on to a world obased on comunities and regional collaboration. maybe you want to call it socio-economical federalization of the world based on common interests of the people living in certain area. It doesn’t matter the name. “What’s in a name?”

Louder is better?

It is so exciting to write about sex. I feel like writting the column “Everything about sex”. I decided to dedicate today’s article to orgasms because lately my next door neighbours give live shows related to this subject. How the Mazemanians think about sex? Well it is quite obvius from the start that Mazemanians don’t talk about sex. Yes they practice it in a traditional or modern form but still even between friends they ussualy avoid the subject. Plus in school there is virtulaly no sex education teached except the rare occasions when some volunteers from an association goes there to speak about sex.Mazemanians think about sex as something dirty (most of the rural area) or as something needed just to have children. Very few, and mostly young ones think about sex as sex. No children necessary attached. Of course many of the teenagers lately go in another extreme thinking that having sex is like chewing a gum. Why I mentioned my neighbours? They are young as my age and from time to time they have sex. The funny thing lately is that we can hear it too! The woman’s orgasm are so loud that in the silence of a communist block apartment is so self-evident. It doesn’t disturb me at all hear it as I think that they enjoy life as good as possible. But I know that many times these expressions of orasm to some women are just faking it – louder the better. I had quite a lot of fun laughing last evening (pretty early I would say) when hearing my neighbours again having orgasm I thought about my other neighbours from next door which have a common wall of the living room with the loud sex couple. I imagined the two parents with their two 13 years-old children watching TV in the evening on the couch and all of a sudden the screaming of our next door neighbour. And my imaginative mind went on and thought that the children ironically might ask: “Hey dad! Don’t you go to see what’s wrong with our neighbour? Maybe she is sick or something!” and their giggling when saying that…Life is beautiful and I wish some times to hear more neighbours having sex and enjoying it as little faking as possible!
